Vancouver Island Elopement by Blush Wedding Photography

This Long Beach Lodge Resort elopement shows us that rain on your wedding day is definitely good luck, and it certainly makes for some super cute photo ops. And that's particularly the case when you have an oh-so-adorable wellie boot bearing bride and groom. From Blush Wedding Photography... Shawna and Sean have been engaged for a while and were having difficultly planning their wedding. Whose hometown would it be in, the daunting guest list, trying to get time off work, the ever increasing costs, etc. They were in love and just wanted to be married. They wanted a fun, casual wedding, but it was seeming too hard to achieve. Then they found the answer to all their problems: elope! With a week's notice, they called me up and asked if I could shoot their wedding on Vancouver Island in Tofino, British Columbia.  This breath-taking location was perfect for the outdoor-loving couple they are. Plus it was a mini vacation from their home in Squamish, British Columbia. Tofino is known for it's rain, so Shauna didn't bother worrying whether it was going to rain or not and just prepared for the worst. However, the night before the wedding it snowed, and we work up to a beautiful layer of snow melting in the morning sun. By the afternoon, the weather cleared just in time for their ceremony on the beach ... and then it turned again. But the rain didn't dampen their spirits. Since we didn't have to follow a wedding schedule, we were able to pop inside to warm up then head back out for a few more pictures all through out the day. The evening finished with a stunning sunset. In the end, Shawna and Sean had the fun and easy-going wedding they wanted!
