If there were one color combo that should be named THE color combo for fresh, outdoor weddings, it’s definitely green and white. Green like the grass, the trees, the nature all around, and white to brighten everything up in the chicest of ways. In my humble opinion, it never EVER gets old. Beautiful Days was behind the planning and design (and flowers!) of this VERY beautiful day, coordinating everything from the gorgeous outdoor ceremony to the stunning reception decor – and everything in between, all photographed by Jason Sandifer and Denise Farwell of emilie inc. photography. Can you handle the gorgeousness of the gallery?
From Beautiful Days … A Maine seaside wedding at the beautiful and quintessential Maine wedding venue, the Newagen Seaside Inn on Southport Island, Maine just south of Boothbay Harbor. The bride and groom wanted seaside chic with a bit of rustic thrown in. The ceremony was very special – the bride had an idea inspired by the chuppah which translated into encircling the ceremony guests in white gauzy fabric. The bride was walked down the aisle by her mother and the ceremony was performed by the bride’s father, the groom’s father, and his step father.
The decor was layered and textural against white linens and special wood runners. The flowers were primarily greens and whites with accents of moss, herbs and berzellia berries in assorted mercury glass vases and custom recycled barn board boxes. The music was one of a kind! A live acoustic band the bride discovered in a subway station in NYC collaborated with a super cool DJ from Portland Maine. So cool!
Photographed by one of Maine’s best – Jason Sandifer + Denise Farwell of emilie inc. Love that the bride and groom decided to go with a first look moment. Instead of the traditional cake there were pies for everyone from a local farm. Planning, design, flowers, decor, lighting and day of coordination from Beautiful Days. All under a lovely sailcloth tent from Marshall Rental of Kittery Maine. The bride ‘s mother is from Peru so there was definitely a South American presence as well as some saucy dancing! There was another party in Lima, Peru later in the year to celebrate with family and friends who couldn’t make it to Maine for the wedding.
