I’m not going to lie, planning a wedding is a lot of {fun} work. So, when I come across a bride who’s DIY savvy, I immediately have respect for her. This bride has taken DIY expectations to the next level in planning a country wedding with so many charming characteristics to swoon over. This family farm style affair by Scobey Photography is swoon worthy alright, as are the beautiful blooms by Kimberly Nelson Flora. Fore more inspiration, head to the full gallery here.
Of course we couldn’t end this post without the sweet preview film from Artworks Wedding Cinema!

From the bride…By nature I am a planner. I love to plan events whether it be a wedding, a baby shower, bridal shower, birthday party, etc. I love all the little details that go into creating such memorable events. But things were a little different this time. This was now MY wedding. I had to make all the decisions this time, which I don’t like to do. The planning became somewhat stressful at times but thankfully I had a fiance who took on many projects and was willing to help in anyway he could, as well as a mom who worked alongside of me for 12 months as we planned every last detail. I have so many wonderful memories of my mom and I throughout the course of the planning. We did lots of DIY projects together and enjoyed lots of laughter along the way. My two Aunts in Florida also played a huge part in the planning. The day of the wedding came and they were both there ready to set up and delegate tasks. What made the day even more special was that my entire extended family, who drove up from Florida the night before, were all there the morning of as well. I had no idea they were all going to come and help. Everything was set up and in place within an hour. It was incredible! I love my family very much and to have them all there helping was just so special.
A few weeks prior to the wedding I was so ready for it all to be over. After a year of planning I just wanted to be married. The wedding day came though and I was so relaxed and full of excitement. We had been planning for so long that everything was organized and everyone knew what their job was and where they needed to be when. There wasn’t a single thing to worry about. Man, did we have a blast! At the end of the night I was ready to do it all over again. Looking back on everything I can honestly say that I wouldn’t change a thing. All of our hard work definitely paid off and everyone had a wonderful time. I would marry my hubby all over again in a heartbeat!
