It’s pretty difficult to make the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden even more beautiful than it already is, but somehow this wedding by Apryl Ann Photography managed to do it. Incorporating peacocks into the floral displays was a brilliant move by Blooming Accents and the couple hit a home run with carrying out their theme to the cake by Delicious Cakes. Apparently not everything in Texas is just bigger, it’s more beautiful too! Check out the full gallery here.

From the bride…Matt and I fell in love in Dallas. We enjoy the city and knew it was the ideal place to start our married lives together. Perfect Texas days are hard to come by but that’s what Matt and I dreamed of for our wedding. Though few and far between, there are some evenings in Dallas where you wouldn’t dream of being anywhere but outdoors under the stars. That’s exactly what we pictured when planning our big day. We were sold on the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden as a venue when we stood on the patio overlooking the lake with a view of the Downtown skyline. We love both the outdoors and the city so the Arboretum seemed like the best compromise. Strategically choosing the month of October and the grace of God gave us the most beautiful evening we can ever imagine to have.
The aesthetic of the evening was a mix of nature and glamour. The colors were chosen from a peacock feather because the jewel tones make a great Fall color palette and are complimentary to both male and female. The feathers adorned all aspects of the day, including the bride, bridesmaids, groomsmen, ceremony and reception.
The ceremony was in a colorful, open garden with white chairs and a white picket fence grounding the feel of a wedding. The music from a harp welcomed guests as they took their seats. Peacock feathers could be seen on the aisle, in the floral arrangements and as guests transitioned into cocktail hour and then the reception.
