Montreal Wedding Inspiration from AmyPunky Photography

The real life couple in this inspiration shoot is totally gorgeous, so it's only fitting that the shoot created around them be equally as dark and handsome. AmyPunky Photography and her team created a simple shoot that hits ALL the right chords, in my humble option. The juxtaposition of the rustic venue and the pastel floral design, the fabulous fashion, the mask, the hairpieces, the accessories, every single element of this shoot has that gothic glam lightened up perfectly feel that we are obsessed with. From AmyPunky Photography ... The idea of the editorial shoot was to create something uniquely elegant, modern and romantic with vendors of Montreal, Quebec. The shoot was inspired by the rustic style of the venue, the Auberge St Gabriel, which is a gorgeous place to celebrate weddings in Old Montreal. I love the contrast between the roughness of the venue (with its industrial walls) and the soft colours we have chosen for the shoot: peach, pale pink, grey, green. We loved the colors picked by Oxide Design for the flowers. It was perfect for a spring photo shoot.

Marie-Pier and Erick, our models (and real couple) were absolutely wonderful. Amal created this crazy hairstyle for Marie-Pier and it was again a perfect addition to the elegant dresses. Antoinette, the creator of Di Carlo Couture, truly has a gift for creating feminine and timeless gowns. We also wanted to show that brides don’t necessarily have to get married in wedding dresses, a gorgeous evening gown can be just perfect, and it's a good excuse to get more fabulous dresses.

Mounia of Cupcake et Macaron made this amazing wedding cake. She decided to go with stripes and grey and it was perfect match with the dresses and the flowers. She also made chai macarons, which were absolutely delicious.

The headpieces and jewelry by Charlotte Hosten fit the dresses and hairstyle perfectly, and added a touch of glamour to the shoot. We also had this black mask, which was a reminder of Alexander McQueen's work. It was fun to add it to our shoot.
