CBS Studios Backlot Wedding by onelove photography

In a dream world weddings would be filled with ice cream and rainbow macaron towers. Actually, every single day should be filled with such greatness but especially the day. It’s an amazing combo and one that fits right at home with a wedding held at the CBS Studios Backlot where the Bride and Groom said “I Do” amongst the sets of some of TV’s greats. Not to be outdone by Seinfeld’s cityscapes, each table was bedazzled with romantic blooms by Joji Rose Oliveros and a table full of the prettiest cakes we ever did see by Magdalynn’s. This is wedding wonderment central as seen through the lens of onelove photography and you can peruse it all right here.

And the film by Reign Film? Just as cool and awesome and a million other superlatives that you would imagine from a wedding held at the CBS Studios Backlot. Plop down with some popcorn and have a looky loo…

From the Bride… We wanted to show what was important to us by making our wedding both sentimental and beautiful, but still fun and unique. We were intentional about writing our own vows, having a prayer during the ceremony and scattering photos throughout the wedding. For the fun part, we had a traditional photo booth, organic ice cream truck and were blessed to have our wedding on two different movie sets at CBS Studios! Guests were able to roam before and after the wedding onto their favorite television and movie sets, such as CSI New York and Seinfeld! We tried to create a romantic setting in a fun place. Most of our decor included mercury glass for the centerpieces with many candles lit when the sun went down. We both have a huge sweet tooth, so we wanted the desserts to be unforgettable! One of my bridesmaids made an ombre ruffle-tiered cake for us, along with a smaller one with pink ombre cake on the inside. We had pastel-colored macaroons and a delicious ice cream cart!

Most of our ideas were inspired by several months researching every wedding magazine possible and scouring popular wedding blogs and websites. I saw my dream bridesmaid dress in a Vogue magazine and spent hours trying to find something similar — finally finding it on Etsy! Making an inspiration board also allowed me to stick to my vision and not stray too much.  It was important for us to pray together before the ceremony, so our wedding party covered our eyes and allowed us to hold hands and pray together just minutes before. We both began to cry, and it was beautiful preparing for the day while still leaving a little mystery by not seeing each other. The ultimate highlight of our wedding day was walking down the aisle to my husband. It was the moment we had been waiting for since we started dating, and the emotions were incredible. It was so surreal, but it was the most amazing moment of our lives!

My advice to other brides is to try and distribute as many responsibilities as you can to relieve yourself of stress. Many of my bridesmaids ran errands for me the day before the wedding, even running to get me shampoo for my honeymoon when I didn’t have the time. Also, having the perfect wedding isn’t worth having a stressful and hectic engagement. Focus on doing wedding tasks with your friends and family to make it more fun.
