If ever there were a holiday that is so deserving of a double-celebration, it would be New Years Eve. Weddings and a bright, shiny New Year go hand in hand and a modern celebration like this beauty crafted down to the last festive detail by CLINK and captured by Cory Ryan Photography, has us dusting off the little black dress and busting out the horn blowers. We hear that everything is bigger and better in Texas and from the looks of it, that also includes weddings. See the full affair right here.

From CLINK… Travis and Meg are all about FUN. They are the consummate hosts. Their #1 goal was ensuring their guests were extremely well taken care of. They wanted to throw an epic New Year’s Eve wedding celebration that would be an amazing memory for all of their loved ones. They chose Austin to get hitched because it is the city where they met and hope to one day return. The W Austin Hotel was the perfect venue to host their modern tastes, flair for fabulosness and love of libations! Temps were a bit chilly, so Meg and Travis decided to tie the knot indoors in the ballroom that would later host their reception (after a stealthy flip by amazing vendors). Ghost chairs made the room look spacious, and once the room was filled with guests, it became inviting and warm. Custom window arches were created to frame the space and give a modern church feel to the ceremony. The entire roomed glowed with candlelight. Friends were a big part of the ceremony. A friend played acoustic guitar and sang “I’ll Stop the World and Melt with You.” The entire crowd sang along and everyone was bawling. Talk about an everlasting memory and experience! You can’t pay for the emotions that were expressed. Simply poignant and perfect!
The outdoor balcony was covered in a chandelier-lit, heated tent. A modern damask linen in a beautiful opal shade covered the tables, and the same damask print was projected on the ground to give subtle lighting to the festive cocktail hour. Hors d’oeuvres stations were set up with cocktail pairings – a detail that all the guests enjoyed. It was time for dinner, and the ballroom doors opened and revealed a modern feast for the eyes. Stone-colored satin topped all the tables, ghost chairs complemented the ghost candelabras on the table, and the entire room glowed in a champagne blush tone. Rich champagne and blush floral centerpieces were lush and romantic. The entire look was stunning! Tables were numbered in Italian, a nod to Meg’s Italian heritage. And the menus also had an Italian flair: a ice breaker for all the guests. Guests enjoyed an amazing plated dinner with their choice of entrees. The mouth-watering selections were roast tenderloin of beef in a whiskey shallot reduction accompanied by smoked celery root puree and braised winter greens, poached lobster atop seared striped bass accompanied by white bean and mushroom ragout or winter vegetable risotto with squash, braised greens, cannellini beans and apple oregano jus. All were deliciously divine!
After dinner, the party started! Meg and Travis chose a killer DJ/band combination that literally kept the dance floor packed the entire evening. Then it was time for the countdown — which was displayed on impressive LED panels that backlit the band! 3, 2, 1 … HAPPY NEW YEAR! Cue the confetti cannons — BOOM! The entire sleek white dance floor was covered in confetti! The dancing continued and the DJ played killer mash-ups of “’90s spring break classics” selected by Meg and Travis. Shots were passed, Meg had a killer dress change, and both Meg and Travis crowd surfed — now that’s a party!
Meg and Travis, we cannot stop talking about your wedding and you. We loved your wedding and love you both to pieces. We loved working with you every step of the way. Your guests told us continuously throughout the night what amazing people you two are and how lucky they feel to be friends with you. You are amazing and unforgettable. Australia is nice, but please move back to Austin soon! Congratulations again!
