Stark Photography is fully to blame for my giddiness this morning. His images of this breathtaking Melbourne wedding are enough to make me want to cartwheel around my office and do a little jig. They fully capture the love this gorgeous couple has for each other on their seriously stunning day - and that, my friends, is what a wedding blogger's dreams are made of. Best part? There's even more to see in the full gallery!

Scott and Kate became engaged in March 2011 in Thailand after the Japanese tsunami led to a hasty last-minute relocation to their original plans to be in Tokyo for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Thailand has always been a place close to their hearts — it was the destination of their first real holiday together, and they have a strong, mutual love of the climate, food and friendly faces that make the place so magical. Their plans had always been to host a smaller wedding to make it more intimate and open up more opportunities with regards to venues and the chance to be a little more lavish on their close friends and family. Montsalvat was the location of the ceremony, and it is one of those eclectic little places that just offers a unique setting in every direction you look. With multiple chapels, wrought iron staircases, leadlight windows and sandstone cottages, it really shines as a wedding venue! Taxi Dining Room has always been one of their favourite hometown restaurants in Melbourne, and the food, wine and backdrop lend themselves perfectly to a special event. With some of the top chefs and sommeliers in Melbourne, and featuring views of the city skyline from its open balconies, it didn't take long to win out as the venue of choice for the wedding reception.
Having shot a number of weddings as a second photographer, Scott was very keen to not only find a team that he knew he could trust to shoot his wedding and would instantly bond with on the day (its a long day together if you don't gel!), but also finding someone with a fresh pair of eyes to Melbourne was very important to him. Daniel Stark Photography not only met those expectations, but the finished product simply blew the happy couple both away. Sitting on a balcony in Santorini on their honeymoon, overlooking the famous caldera with a glass of wine in hand, and viewing the photos for the first time was something that will stay with them for the rest of their lives!
