From the Bride... Andres and I wanted our wedding to be memorable, unique, and personal. I knew creativity was the key ingredient and I knew just the people for the job. Since I grew up in the wedding business, I wanted something different for my event. My sister and I launched our own wedding business, WeddingCollectibles.com, a few years ago. The Fluffs were some of the first contacts and friends that we made back at a wedding industry networking event in 2009, and ever since we have been very fortunate to see both our friendship and businesses flourish and grow together. Inspired by the architecture, design and romantic ambience of Disney’s film Tangled and Fantasyland, Sugar & Fluff translated our vision into art. The theme was heavily carried throughout the wedding, from the location to all of the smallest details. Hand dyed ombré lanterns in rosy peachy pink colors hung over the dance floor. Bistro tables filled with wildflowers nestled into gnarled branches and drip-painted jars of white for centerpieces. Candle-lit table numbered votives added for a romantic and cozy ambience.
As the sun began to set, guests settled into cozy lighting for coffee and cake. I remember I had told the Fluffs that I didn't know how to choose my cake topper. I had so many options from my business, mostly designed by me, but their answer was simple — why have just one? Yes! So I picked five! :) Andres and I still feel like the luckiest couple in the world. We owe the success of our wedding to all the love and support our families and friends gave and continue to give us. My family was involved in every detail of the wedding, creating veils, headpieces, and wedding accessories. I even had the opportunity to design my own wedding dress! Last but not least, I need to thank the Fluffs, who really went out of their way to make our wedding special, and our bridal party, who helped complete so many of the details that we put together. Did I mention the beautiful mehndi/bridal shower my bridesmaids threw for me?
