"Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue" - We've all heard it, but never have I seen it taken to the next level quite as beautifully as this wedding by Closer to Love Photography. This gorgeous bride is a third generation antique dealer so she (clearly) knows a thing or two about what it means to be vintage chic. Everything from the fantastic floral arrangements by Splendid Sentiments to the vintage lace cake by Cakes to Celebrate all fit perfectly in tune with the overall theme of the day. The full gallery is an absolute must see!

From the Bride... As a third generation antique dealer, I knew the traditional phrase "something old" would be more than covered on my wedding day. I stuck to that theme throughout all my wedding decor. If it wasn't old or did not resemble something vintage, it did not belong at our wedding. Dealing in antiques has inspired me to create re-styled jewelry, using anything vintage that I can get my hands on. This creative passion and the love of "old" was the central inspiration of my wedding planning. As soon as my husband popped the question I began planning, or maybe earlier, for the wedding of our dreams.
My mom and I immediately began planning all the details we envisioned. We began searching our inventory and getting the word out to our other antique dealer friends that we were on the look out for certain vintage accessories to host the wedding of my dreams. The next seven months were a blur of searching and buying, from beautiful crystal chandeliers to the perfect antique buffet for my cake, to the various vintage jewelry pieces I needed to complete my bridesmaids' necklaces. It didn't stop at shopping — after we shopped we created! We put vintage lace on anything and everything we could, we made signs, we painted furniture, we spent endless hours creating the vision we had and having so much fun along the way. The best part about getting ready for this wedding was all the support we received. From friends, to my dad and brother, to cousins and grandparents, everyone was working together to complete all of the decor in seven short months. When it came time for my mom and I to decide who would set up our creations and have our vision in mind we knew just the person we could trust. One of our fellow antique dealer friends and amazing artists, Sylvia Asmussen. Sylvia was on the same page with us and our style of decor and when I walked into the Stone House on the day of my wedding, I could not hold back the tears. Sylvia did the most amazing job displaying our decor and she incorporated every detail I had worked so hard on for the past seven months.
When looking for flowers my mom and I did not know where to start. Somehow we stumbled upon "Splendid Sentiments" online, and that was such a blessing. We set up an appointment with Bethany and from that meeting on I knew we were in great hands. On the day of the wedding, I could have never even dreamed of more perfect flowers. Debbie from "Cakes to Celebrate" was able create the cake of my dreams. The cake was made to resemble vintage lace, much like my dress, and was adorned with the perfect antique cake topper that was given to my husband and I as a gift from a fellow antique dealer and friend. The history of the wedding cake topper was so sentimental to us as it was used in her own wedding over 60 years ago, bringing us many years of marriage good luck. All the work that went into our wedding was well worth it. At one point in the evening my husband and I were able to take a step back and look at the venue put together, and the family and friends that had gathered to celebrate with us, and we realized how truly blessed we are.
