I love seeing weddings come to life. Especially when those shooting the film are the fabulous people at 31 Films. This same day edit is a testimony to their crazy talent. And the wedding they filmed is so super gorgeous, you’ll want to watch it more than once. The outdoor ceremony at Oheka Castle is so pretty, I can practically feel the warm, summer breeze on my face!

From 31 Films… It’s always a goal for us to get to know our couple’s stories and to put them into the films that we produce. We flew to New York to produce this same day edit for Joanne and Andy. Through a fun skype chat, we got to know them. Joanne and Andy work in the city. They met at a small group from their church and hit it off. Joanne gave Andy an unfinished Jenga block set to represent that they’re relationship is a building process.
The location was at the historic Oheka Castle, which was breathtaking. Most of the guests were coming from the city on the wedding day, so we wanted to show the journey from the city to the castle. We also shot footage around the financial district, where they work. The stop motion animation represented who they are individually and together through this building process themed through out the wedding day. Their personal vows were very touching and emotional which was key to their story. On top of all of this, they are a fun group and know how to party! You could tell that every detail had important meaning to Joanne and Andy. We worked hard to infuse this into their story.
