We’re wrapping up another gorgeous week here at SMP Massachusetts with this pretty, purple infused, indoor fete. This beautiful bride got her DIY on and made so many elements for her big day including jewelry for herself and her besties, place cards, programs, and even tears of joy tissue packets! Talk about talent! Michael Brook Photography captured each moment and detail and you can see it all right here in the full gallery!

From Michael Brook Photography… Becky and Todd crafted a wedding day that seamlessly combined stylish contemporary elements and their families’ histories. The warmth imbued in the whole production wasn’t the least bit surprising after getting to know them at their engagement shoot.
Becky’s satin dress fit in with the modern lounge furniture at the reception. One of the most special elements was the collection of family wedding photos Todd and Becky displayed in the lobby. They had several generations represented — parents to great grandparents. And the warm wood beam ceiling and glowing fireplace matched perfectly the display of their families’ wedding portraits and traditional eastern European money dance (both of their families are Slovak and Hungarian). How it works: the wedding guests line up for a chance to dance a polka with the bride. Each guest “paid” for this opportunity and placed a dollar or so in a cigar box, then they got a prize at the end of the dance (in their case, it was the choice of a lollipop or a cigar — the real tradition was to take a shot of liquor). Becky said jokingly that it was, “awkward and fun at the same time!”
Becky also handmade several elements. She made her own bracelet, bridesmaid jewelry, place cards, pomanders that lined the aisle, programs, tears of joy tissue packets, and card box.
