From Miho Aikawa...Born in Japan, Miho Aikawa is a photographer, currently residing in Brooklyn, New York.  "I studied journalism, in particular visual communication at university and my style is truly that of a documentary approach.   On one occasion when I was just starting out as a freelance photographer, I was fortunate enough to shoot one couple’s wedding photography. I was instantly absorbed in taking photos of their each precious moment, and the many happy smiles that they encountered that day. The fact that I had recorded the unique story of the marrying couple, their families and friends made me realize how honorable it was to take on such an important role. I focus on shooting each casual ‘moment’ that passes by our daily lives and my photography is about telling the precious story that lies behind them. "Most recently I was honored to receive Grand Prize of The 2012 PDN Top Knots Contest.
