One look at this breathtaking Miami affair and I know you’ll have a hard time believing that it was all planned in just over three short months, but, trust me – it’s totally true. From the stunning oceanside ceremony to the glorious ballroom reception, every last ounce of knock-your-socks off lovely was dreamt up by this gorgeous duo in a little over 90 days and, YES, they are most certainly my new heroes. Thankfully, Captured Photography by Jenny snapped up all of the pretty, including those lush blooms by Parrish Designs and the smiley (+ happy) faces of the bride and groom. See it all here.

From the Bride… Our wedding day was a dream come true! We have been together 11 years and finally decided to get married. He proposed on December 8th, 2011 (with my great grandmother’s ring), and we got married March 31st, 2012. His proposal was so sweet and personal. He created a heart out of little cereal boxes and put the ring in the middle — the first time we hung out 11 years ago, we sat on a playground eating little boxes of cereal and wishing on the stars. I always thought it was bad luck to plan before your engaged, so I truly did everything in a very short amount of time. The Bath Club was our perfect location. It had everything we wanted, the beach for the ceremony, a ballroom that didn’t have horrible carpet, lots of 1920’s charm, a beautiful courtyard out front, and the whole venue was ours without the worry of any other event getting in the way. My dress was nothing like I thought I would wear, yet the moment I put it on, I knew it was my dress. It was big, elegant, and fun all at the same time. I felt like a ballerina — I even wore Jimmy Choo ballerina flats. My husband wore a gray suit, gray Prada sneakers and Mickey Mouse cufflinks.
I hired a “day of” wedding planner so I could enjoy the day, and it was the best money ever spent. We used Kharma Goddess, and these ladies were so fantastic that I would recommend them to everyone. Our ceremony was so special. We hired an officiant who would provide us with a non-religious ceremony but still very personal and real. We used a place called I Do 4ever. Everyone is still telling us how great the ceremony was and how much they enjoyed listening to the entire thing. We decided to go with a string trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour music and a DJ for the reception. Our florist, Parrish Designs, made the most exquisite floral arrangements ever. Between the centerpieces and the Huppa she really took my breath away. The Huppa was intended to go on the beach for the ceremony but the weather had a different plan. It was pouring rain and we had to make a decision so we set it up for “Plan B.” The rain ended up stopping just in time for the ceremony, but we couldn’t move the flowers — it actually worked out because we were able to enjoy them all night. They made a great backdrop for the dance floor and our cake. Our cake was done by a woman named Maryann Roman. Her cakes are not only beautiful but actually taste good. For extra entertainment, we hired a caricature artist.
Now let me tell you about my husband’s favorite thing: the food. When we started this process he was adamant about two things: the officiant and having good food. Well, he got what he wanted. We used Aaron’s Catering, and I know I sound biased, but it really was the best wedding food ever! Every detail was so thought out so the quality, presentation, and service were more than outstanding. The two most important parts of the wedding for me were the photographer and cinematographer. I take pictures and work with film crews for a living so as you can see, this was extra special. Our cinematographer, BNR Films, is a company I met through work. They are two guys who know how to make magic. We chose Jenny from Captured Photography for our photographer because her style of work is exactly what we wanted and her personality makes you so comfortable. Every moment is captured without being fake or posed. I am able to look back and see this special day and remember what I was feeling, and thinking in those exact moments. Thanks to them, we are able to remember it all and feel it again! again!
