Pretty head pieces and cupcakes go together like humans and breathing; completely and totally necessary in our eyes. So a photo shoot devoted to such loveliness is just that: lovely, lovely, lovely. It's the marriage of gorgeous accessories by Posh Veils, sweet treats crafted by Connie Cupcake and a floral arch by Sweet Woodruff that wedding dreams are made of. From Cristina of Geminie Photography... When Sharon of Posh Veils first got in touch with me to discuss her plans for the Posh Veils 2012 Collection, I was so excited. Her ideas for the theme of the shoot sounded absolutely beautiful, and I knew this was something that I wanted to photograph. We collaborated in the early planning stages, but she pulled everything together, and I couldn't be more happy with the results. All the vendors involved were absolutely wonderful. Lana designed all the stunning dresses, and they fit with Sharon's headpieces perfectly.
From Sharon of Posh Veils... The concept for this shoot was youthful elegance and an obsession with pretty. Every design element revolved around the four-by-seven-foot chalkboard that was custom made, painted and framed with fresh flowers. Having settled on a blush pink, blue-gray, gold and ivory color palette, I knew I wanted to incorporate pretty wallpaper to anchor the large chalkboard frame. I took the risk of placing the same wallpaper on the floor. I wanted to carry the pattern all the way from the top to the bottom. The challenge I faced in pulling all the elements — wallpaper, chalkboard, colors, nesting tables and chair — was to make sure that the textures and patterns would be harmonious. In the end, everything turned out beautifully. I partnered with amazing talented vendors who helped make this shoot possible. Cristina from Geminie Photography captured the shoot beautifully. Lowon Pope provided the stunning gowns. Connie from Connie Cupcake custom made desserts in pink, gold, silver, and ivory that we placed on the gold antique nesting tables. Lisa from Sweet Woodruff had the big task of framing the chalkboard with fresh flowers. She created a stunning floral arrangement that was not only the focal point for the whole shoot but was structurally ingenious! Rajiv from Letters in Ink brought the chalkboard to life by drawing a lovely feather design! Our models Shazzy and Dalia were phenomenal, and Blair Petty from Judy Inc. could not have done a better job on the fresh and youthful make-up.
