This wedding makes it seem as if all weddings were meant to look just like this. A sea of the prettiest of pinks, layers upon layers of wedding dress ruffles, nuptials that scream Spring. Actually, scratch that. They don’t scream, instead they sing a sweet melody (equal parts Disney Princess and the awesomeness of Adele) with florals by Nicole Ha Designs that go hand in hand with all the beautiful images snapped by Stephen Pappas. From the Bride… When I first started planning my wedding, I had so many ideas running through my head. I knew that I wanted it to be outdoors, and I knew that I wanted it to have a vintage country charm to it. I began looking at wineries with open barns and rustic venues in the Bay Area. When we saw Pacific Oaks Vineyard Estates, we were blown away. It felt so comfortable and refreshing to be there. Once the venue was set, I knew what direction to go for décor. I was first inspired by a picture I had seen of three girls in flowing pink dresses running with ribbon wands in a field. In addition, I had always known I wanted to wear a hint of pink on my wedding day. I decided to have a custom hairpiece done with just the slightest touches of pale pink to complement my shoes. These are the inspirations that which led to the pink, coral, and peach color palette, the ribbon backdrop, ribbon wands and the vintage, shabby chic décor. The most important thing of all was incorporating pictures of my late mother into the wedding. I took some of my most treasured old black and white photos of her, framed them and made them a part of the sign-in table. My goal was to have our wedding evoke joy in people through color and environment. I wanted it to be colorful, fun and romantic.
