From Anna of Anna Jones Photography... Cynthia knew exactly what she wanted for an engagement session when we met early October to discuss some options. Both Cynthia and Martin live out in the country (Martin is actually a dairy farmer!) and share a love for the outdoors and animals. We began the shoot in the late afternoon in Wakefield, Quebec, a quaint village on the western shore of the Gatineau River. Most famous for tourists (and photographers) is the wooden, covered Wakefield Bridge. Cynthia had some great ideas when it came to engagement photos! After some photos on the bridge and the beautiful shores of the Rideau River, we headed out to Captivia Farms for some horseback riding as the sun began to set, casting its beautiful golden light! When Cynthia suggested horseback riding at dusk I did not think that included me on a horse — but it did! I have never been horseback riding, and with all my camera gear strapped to me I am sure I was far from graceful, but I snapped away at the beautiful ride and scenery! Horses are beautiful, and seeing Cynthia and Martin interact together among such majestic creatures, bathed in a stunning sunset, was truly magical!
