So that old saying about rain on your wedding day being good luck may or may not be true but, I can say this, it will make for some really incredible photos! Especially when there is a couple as darling as this one with a sweet red umbrella as the subject and, of course, when Judy Pak Photography is behind the camera. From Judy of Judy Pak Photography… Susan and Aaron’s wedding took place on a charming farm in the heart of Hudson Valley. The farm is situated on acres of rolling hills and forest, and the couple initially wanted to have an outdoor wedding. However, rain clouds arrived on the wedding day, and they had to quickly adjust to Plan B. The ceremony was moved inside the barn, and a tent was set up for the reception area. Although the barn already had so much natural beauty that could double as decor, Susan added some great DIY elements. For example, she decorated the barn with old photos from their childhood and recent photos of the couple from their engagement session. She also used clothes pins to hang seating cards across the room. In the end, Susan and Aaron really helped set the tone of the day with their infectious smiles and carefree spirit. It was a downpour at times, but the couple grabbed a red umbrella and braved the inclement weather for some awesome rainy day shots. Despite some things not going according to their plan, their big day was filled with love, joy, hope and excitement, and it was truly inspirational to be there to document it!
