Pasadena Wedding at Ambassador Mansion & Gardens by Birds of a Feather
Sarah Yates has a way with weddings. A way that is delicate and romantic and dreamy and everything that makes me fall in love over and over again with my job. And this wedding that Sarah photographed and sent our way is pure heaven. It's the kind of wedding that makes you grab the one you love and plant a wet one right on his face because you just can't help yourself. The kind of wedding where the bride and groom exude joy, where the style is envy inducing, where the vibe alone is enough to make you dizzy with love. So sit back and enjoy Sarah's latest masterpiece and click here if you need even more.

From the Bride & Groom... We knew that we wanted an outdoor wedding, and although we did not have a theme, we knew what we wanted our wedding to convey: simple elegance. Our goal for the wedding was for the wedding to seem less like a traditional wedding and more like a party. Although we had a large number of guests, the garden location, seating in the round, and dancing underneath the stars made the overall feeling very intimate.
Our advice to couples planning is to stick with your original vision. We got so frustrated when looking at countless venues and not finding exactly what we wanted. A few times, we almost gave in to a venue that did not fit our original vision. We saw many amazing venues, but just not THE place that we were picturing. We are so happy that we didn't just settle and kept looking until we found the perfect place. Once the venue is chosen, everything else just seems to settle into place. Another piece of advice that we now give all couples planning a wedding is the need to get a "day of" coordinator or someone who is solely responsible for coordinating all the different pieces of your wedding day. Our wedding day was the most amazing day of our lives. Everything went perfectly — or so we thought. It turns out that there were some missteps on that day, but we were never made aware of them, as the coordinator took care of everything. It was definitely money well spent. Finally, on the day of the wedding, take a step back with your new spouse and look at your reception from afar. It will be filled with friends and family who are there to celebrate your love, and there is no feeling like seeing everyone there, having a great time and celebrating you.
