From Kirstie Kelly…Airy, elegant and timeless – the 2013 collection features beautiful Belgian lace, hand cut floral details with intricate crystal and gem beading and tiny feather weight embroidery stitches. I worked with mixing textures and colors to create cloud like romance and storytelling. While all the gowns are very detailed they don’t overshadow the bride, because they are light and airy and soft in tone. The bride always appears as a vision of beauty before noticing the details of the gown.
We had so much fun shooting the collection with Elizabeth Messina at the Hahn Estate! I feel very blessed that we were allowed to shoot in the extraordinary rooms of the estate and the gardens were a perfect backdrop for the new collection as it was inspired by both botanicals and by the brides I have worked with over the past year and what their desires were for the perfect wedding dress, There is something in this Collection for everyone, and I thank all the women who collectively were the inspiration for this line.
