A farm to table wedding in the sweet Colorado Summer air is what we have first on the agenda today. It’s perfectly sweet, thanks in part to the dogs and chickens, and beyond chic, with it’s long black and white family style dining tables, and perfectly coordinated by Calluna Events to be elegant and beautiful. All of which are prerequisites at an affair with a couple so gorgeous. Ashley Davis Photography is sharing her front row seat to the wedding of the hour with us, so make sure to thank her from the bottom of your lovely hearts in the gallery!
From Calluna Events … Kyle and Scott’s Colorado farm to table wedding at the Lyons Farmette, coordinated by SMP Little Black Book member Calluna Events, was creatively designed and completely relaxed.
The bride worked very hard to incorporate DIY elements and her hard work paid off…we loved all the details of this wedding! Kyle’s vision for simple and understated elegance mixed with farmy details brought together a lovely ambiance that complimented the rustic feel of the working farm.
A large fallen tree provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. The tree was wrapped in twinkle lights and strung orchids creating a simple and elegant focal point behind the bride and groom.
The bride and Brighter Day Floral provided hundreds of mercury glass votives which were scattered on the tables and throughout the reception. The table centerpieces were designed in rustic wood boxes hand made by the brides mother. Ranunculus + garden roses created the soft bridal and bridesmaids bouquets. Old fashioned type was incorporated throughout the guest tables and dessert tables. And the bride hand made salted caramels packaged in adorable craft cardstock containers as guest favors.
Kyle had signs made that paired nicely with the rustic farm details. An old door Provided the backdrop for the escort cards…name cards were tied to vintage keys to create an escort card display that fit right in with the surroundings. Wedding guests signed a cookbook as a keepsake for the Bride and Groom.
The Farmette is lovely when the sun goes down! Literally hundreds of lanterns were placed all over the property and provided most of the candlelight after the sun went down. The candlelight lined the driveway to show the guests their way.
The dessert table was a collection of handmade desserts by Jen Bush, a well known Boulder baker and owner of Ice Box Bakery. The long table featured cakes, small bites, cookies and other yumminess. The bride also created a smores station, complete with extra long sticks for the marshmallows, around a warm fire with pillows and blankets guests sat fireside and satisfied their sweet tooth while relaxing fireside.
