If Elizabeth Messina had a fan club, we would be her number ones. Sometimes we just want to tag along and hold her camera bag so we can witness that magic being created. Honestly Elizabeth, CALL US. We’re great bag holders. So before we delve into the knock-out cocktail hour and reception we want to feature some of the beauty that is Elizabeth’s art-inspired images. Gallery worthy doesn’t even begin to describe them. They’re breathtaking and then some and truly allow the beauty of the subjects to shine through.
Now on to the cocktail hour that will forever be remembered for those gorgeous lanterns. It’s the chicest of chic from the maven of great design, Mindy Weiss (who’s bag we also wouldn’t mind toting) followed by a reception with stunning centerpiece after stunning floral centerpiece by Jeff Leatham and a wedding cake whipped up by Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach that is almost too good looking to eat. This is one of those affairs where the beauty of the details is only outweighed by the unabashed happiness of the Bride and Groom. Those ear-to-ear smiles and sweet as can be kisses give it away every time. Click here to see so much more!

From the Bride… After the ceremony, our guests walked through the lovely grounds of the hotel, past a huge, beautiful, hundred-year-old fig tree. It was beautifully decorated with flower garland, and we had a Motown quartet serenading guests as they walked by with an acapella “My Girl.” Our band was amazing, as was the food! We have a lot of friends who are very talented musicians, and several of them performed throughout the evening: A friend from Paris played amazing piano during cocktail hour, two friends performed our first dance with the band, and there was also surprise performance by a friend of a groovin’ “Higher and Higher” by Jackie Wilson.
The vision for the reception was lavish and sophisticated. Flowers were the main focus! Outside of the ballroom was crisp white and orange for the cocktail hour. Very modern and clean. Then while the guests were in the ballroom for dinner, the outside was having tons of fuchsia orchids added to the flowers arrangements and fissile lighting added, so the outside had a sexier, nighttime party vibe. It was unbelievable! Inside, the table flower arrangements were so beautiful! Orchids, gardenias, hydrangeas & mini calla lilies.
