Tea parties seem to forever have a place in my heart. They are deep-rooted in my party loving soul, and that might just be because a tea party was the first soiree I ever hosted. Granted I was all of four and the guest of honor were my Grandmother and Mother, but there is something timeless and fabulously fancy about sipping tea and devouring tiny sandwiches in style. Sherry Hammonds Photography is serving up just a party by way of this pretty little shoot, and it’s full of all the things that make tea parties stand the test of time and then some! See it all here!

From Sherry of Sherry Hammonds Photography… This photo shoot was a collaboration between a number of very talented women in Austin, Texas. I like to do a few projects like these every year to explore new options and have a chance to look at the same idea in a different way. I feel this helps me when I shoot real brides. The reason why we wanted to do this shoot was to highlight everyone’s talent. We wanted to give brides an idea of what they can do with their bridal session and/or bridal showers. That they do not have to stick to the traditional but can make it unique and their own … and of course, we wanted to have fun!
Everyone involved in this shoot has a very distinct style and offers something unique. The gowns are a showcase of some of the new gowns and accessories provided by one of Austin’s bridal boutiques where they specialize in providing something a little extra than your usual bridal gown. Green Alley Salon provided the hair and makeup. They are a green salon — trying to reduce their carbon footprint by using products that are friendly to the environment. They even use up-cycled furniture and decor. Unexpected Elements provided the flowers for the shoot. They not only offer beautiful flowers and event design but also custom props and decor. The tea party staging, decorations, props and food are from Sophie Parrott, owner of ‘The Marvelous Vintage Tea Party Company’. Sophie is from England, and she purchases most of her china and decor directly from there. Her items are unique and authentic, as is each party — a real treat to work with. She not only provides decor, music and even vintage hostesses but will bring traditional goodies and treats for her clients to enjoy during each unique event.
