From Danny & Vicki of Starfish StudiosWhen people picture a wedding in Florida they typically think sun, sand and the ocean. We wanted to capture another side of Florida that is equally beautiful, and we found it at Estancia Culinaria. The property has been used as a second home for the owners and their family to escape the hustle and bustle of Miami. Now that the children are grown, the family has opened their doors to cater and host weddings and other special events. The details and craftsmanship throughout the home, the veranda and the chapel made of coral were inspirational. The gorgeous horses and working carriage, in addition to the amazing wood work, brick work and lush natural organic avocado fields, were the perfect backdrop to create and capture a wedding that can be described as “Rustic Elegance.

We reached out to Miranda from Sugar(ed) Occasions to design the look for the shoot. After she sent us her inspiration board, which she titled “Champagne in the Grove,” we knew she had the right vision. Mixing sophisticated details such as lace and gold with natural organic details such as wood and avocados was the perfect combination. Her ability to envision how each detail would work together created a beautiful and cohesive look for the shoot. The vision would not have been complete without the help of the other vendors as well. Ines from Ines Naftali Floral created the amazing floral designs using lush greens, ivories and even an artichoke that played perfectly with the avocados on the table. Angela from Amazing Grace Rentals provided dinnerware, linens, a chandelier, mirrors, the gorgeous yellow sofa and many of the details that provided an authentic vintage look. Sasha from Sasha’s Bridal Boutique had an amazing selection of dresses and knew the dresses that would work for the theme and location perfectly. The huge white dress in the grove was just the statement dress we needed. Tara from Ring Finger Studio bejeweled the bride and groom with timeless designs which included earrings, engagement rings and wedding bands.

We wanted the bride and groom to interact like they would at a real wedding. They were very playful with each other and even with the amazing cakes designed by the sweet Sandy of Sugar Fancies. The soft and classic look of the hair and makeup for the brides was created by the very talented Christie of Christie Lopez Makeup. Our favorite shots were taken during what photographers call the magic hour with the sun going down on the green grove and soft golden light spreading its reach we were blown away by the vision come to life.
