From Marie Hines... My name is Marie Hines, and I am a pop singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN and huge SMP fan! From my hours spent perusing the pretty little things on your blog, I was inspired to create my newest music video with elements of a DIY State Fair Wedding!
The storyline of my video is that my boyfriend takes me to the State Fair for a seemingly normal date, but in reality he is planning (with help from the Fair carneys) to propose to me and surprise me with a wedding at the end. (At the fair!) The wedding scene is set in the stables at the back of the fair, and has tons of DIY elements and a cute play on the fair theme (think Cracker Jack box as the engagement ring box, popcorn bag as flags on string, a ribbon wreath instead of a veil, a pinwheel bouquet, and a "1st place" ribbon for the groom as a boutineer). Anthem Pictures filmed this music video for me and was the brains behind the whole "impromptu wedding" idea.
The Tennessee State Fair was gracious enough to welcome us on their grounds while they were in town, the wedding audience was comprised of my own close friends and family, and actors came from Memphis, Chattagnooga and Knoxville for the shoot. I was surrounded by creative and brilliant people for the video!
