Littleton Wedding from Rising Moon Films + Manchik Photography

This bride has a smile that is contagious. You’ll catch the bug when you first lay eyes on her beautiful grin captured fabulously by Manchik Photography, and the smile will really take hold of you when you spend a few moments in the film from Rising Moon Films. We know the secret to this blushing bride’s show stopping smile though – how could she not be radiantly beaming when THIS is her wedding day!

I can’t wait to share this film from Rising Moon Films – so I won’t! Enjoy, LBBers.

My (now) husband, Morgan and I were married at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield on September 23, 2011. The inspiration for our my wedding was not hard to choose, it simply came from my our lifestyle! I remember speaking with my mom and she said, “How are you going to have a vintage/cowboy/travel wedding? You can’t do it all!” – but that’s exactly what we did! Both my husband and I have a love for travel; it’s something we did prior to marriage, during (London and Paris for our honeymoon!) and it’s something we plan on doing throughout our marriage. We also have a love for all things rustic (we met country line dancing), so we knew that our wedding would most definitely involve a barn and some cowboy boots! When Morgan proposed to me on Christmas Eve, we had only lived in our new home in Colorado for approximately a month, so when it came time to picking vendors we incorporated folks from all over, including our home state of California!

The first vendor we chose (even prior to picking our venue) were our wonderful photographers, Julia and Yuriy Manchik. I was an avid follower of their travel blog (www.mrmrsglobetrot.blogspot.com), so as soon as we got engaged I knew I had to find out if they shot weddings as well – and to our delight, they did! The Manchiks are located in Seattle, therefore the first time we met in person was when we flew them out to Colorado for our awesome engagement shoot – we instantly clicked!

Our venue was also an easy choice, as it is right down the street from where I work. I passed the red barn at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield everyday, and knew it would be perfect for our intimate wedding of 55 guests. The remaining decisions regarding our vendors required extensive research on my part, I wanted to be sure everything was perfect for our wedding day… and honestly, it was!

One of the last decisions we made, was to hire our videographer, Rising Moon Films… which we are so happy we did. Mike and Summer were so professional and their videos are absolutely gorgeous.

Details! Details! As previously mentioned, I was very meticulous in choosing my vendors and just as meticulous in planning my decor. I spent months (and months) crafting, collecting and thrifting. Everything from beautiful milk glass cakestands to mason jars and vintage suitcases. I spent hours wrapping jute and lace around mason jars, and getting burnt by hot glue left and right!

Our amazing family and friends were so helpful in the process (even living miles and miles away), especially in the days leading up to the wedding. My Mom and Grandma made our burlap table runners, my Mom and I made the belts for our bridesmaids’ dresses and their purple/rhinestone bracelets, we also made all of the guys’ bouts; my beautiful Cousin and her Mom/Sister did all of our flowers, my sister helped me with our books/vintage postcard centerpieces, we had numerous family members bake amazing desserts for our dessert table, and I could go on and on… Our wedding day really was a collaboration of not only my husband and my hard work, but also that of our friends and family.
