From the Bride… Joe and I had a pretty big part of our wedding booked before we were even engaged — our reception location!  We both love our vino and fell in love with the location while having lunch there one weekend. We decided to book it without looking anywhere else. It was a gorgeous venue all on its own, and I could picture everyone dancing and celebrating late into the night under the stars.

After we made it official, Joe and I spent the next 15 months figuring everything else out. First on our list was a photographer. If you can splurge on one thing on your list — make it that! A good photographer can make everything look ten times more beautiful than you remembered, and I feel like we had the best. Décor was another big one to figure out. I had so much help from my mom, friends and family though. The centerpieces were from Hobby Lobby, and I had people from all over helping me collect everything from different stores. Etsy was also a huge help, as many brides-to-be already know!

The day of our wedding was perfect. St. Louis weather is completely unpredictable, so we definitely lucked out. My bridesmaids and I spent the night at The Cheshire Inn in downtown St. Louis, where we had our hair and makeup done. Our ceremony began at noon and was done by a close family friend. After the ceremony, we filled up some time taking photos in downtown St. Louis. Then we drove out to Chandler Hill, where our photographer took some photos of just Joe and me. These are some of my favorite of the whole day. The light was beautiful, and I don’t think we could look any happier in them. The entire day was amazing, and I can’t imagine it going more perfectly!
