Victoria Pre-Ceremony Lunch by The Style Co.
One person's pre-ceremony lunch is another person's wedding. And if my wedding were to be any pre-ceremony lunch I would surely want it to be this one. It's a big, beautiful feast in the middle of a gorgeous Australian vineyard. I don't think it gets much more perfect than that and even the kiddos had a sweet little picnic spot to lunch away at. The Style Co. whipped up all the pretty details and Love Katie and Sarah photographed all the pretty images. From Dave of The Style Co.... Karen and Michael wanted to treat their guests to a pre-wedding lunch and tour of the Yarra Valley. They approached us to plan and coordinate the day, as well as style the lunch for them. The lunch was to be colourful, casual and outdoors with great local food and wine, as well as an area for the kids to play, making it just as fun for them as it would be for the adults! I instantly thought of the perfect place to hold it. The Stables is a newly opened function area at my favourite venue in the Yarra Valley, Stones of the Yarra Valley.
The kids area was so much fun! Our extra large, super-soft picnic area on the grass had a seemingly endless supply of paper, textas and chalk, and it created the perfect place for little kids to play! Our mini table and wooden wine boxes were home to the mini lunch buffet and then just to give them a little sugar boost, a candy buffet later in the afternoon!
Our centres were an eclectic mix of colour and fragrance made up of herbs and flowers in jam jars: rosemary, thyme, mint, basil, peppermint, orchids, green dianthus, lisianthus, chrysanthemum and berries. Napkins were tied with twine and a sprig of rosemary. White fabric was draped above the table to filter the afternoon sunlight — the icing on the cake! The Style Co. team had a blast putting this one together! Thanks also to the team at Stones of the Yarra Valley for helping us bring our vision outdoors... they loved it all and didn't want to leave!
