From Aurora Meneghello Productions... Leah and Justin had the perfect wedding at Justin's family home in Napa. I was introduced to Leah by a mutual friend and client. Leah was planning her wedding alone, and she was also helping Justin recover from a very recent motorcycle accident. Justin couldn't even walk when I met Leah, so she was doing everything: planning her wedding, working full time, helping Justin recover. She needed to connect with people she could trust. We hit it off immediately, and the more I heard about her plans for the wedding, the more excited I felt. This was going to be gorgeous. Justin could walk a few months later in time for our engagement photo shoot, and he was in top shape for his wedding. By the time the big day came, Leah, Justin and I had met, laughed, planned together for the wedding and gotten to know each other, so it felt just like being with friends.
Justin's mom passed away a few years ago and getting married in the house she decorated and designed felt like having her there. The villa was built in a style reminiscent of a Tuscan villa, overlooking vineyards and surrounded by a garden and swimming pool. The living room is a room built around an 18th century room from Austria. Leah and her friends prepared bouquets, and the flower arrangements on the tables were created by Madeline Trait. Leah and Justin's friends came from all over to celebrate with them, including from Italy!
The day proceeded as scheduled: we started with bride and groom getting ready photos, and then Justin saw Leah for the first time in her wedding dress, away from all the guests. They were both moved, and it was a very special moment. Then it was time for wedding party photos and some time for bride and groom to be alone and refocus before the ceremony. The light was gorgeous all day long, but by the time of the ceremony, around 6 p.m., it was at its best. Afterwards, we got together for some posed family photos, and then Leah and Justin walked with me to the vineyards for some timeless couples photos. Dinner was served buffet-style by Wine Valley Catering and Elsa Vera, the day-of coordinator, oversaw the evening. Napa can truly be a magical place.
