From the Bride… Kyle and I wanted something small and intimate that truly reflected our personalities. Creative elements but still simple and elegant.The Plymouth Congregational Church set the tone for the wedding and since I knew I wanted to incorporate elements from the book The Secret Garden, it was a match made in heaven as far as the vision for the wedding went. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to incorporate the subdued pastel colors of Parisian macarons for the brooch bouquets and for the bridesmaids’ dresses. I definitely wanted my bridesmaids to feel special and wear something that represented their own personal style. I gave each of them an inspiration booklet asking them to choose their own dress that they would wear to a party in the garden. Collecting the vintage brooches for the bouquets and the making the mossy murals was a labor of love.
