Don’t like cake? It’s okay – we don’t judge the non-cake lovers. I myself had cupcakes at my wedding because cake doesn’t always tickle my fancy. It is for people like us that Bridal Bliss decided to team up with One Devine Party to create a little dessert buffet inspiration to get our lips smacking and our sweet tooth grinning. Captured by Erica Ann Photography we are about to take a total dessert tour starting with doughnuts, ending with cake pops, and stopping at candy, cupcakes, s’mores, and pies in between. It’s a dessert fanatic’s dream!
From One Devine Party … Romantic Vintage: This is the understated, romantic inspiration where I could imagine vintage antique furniture with muted blues, pinks with a shabby chic vintage twist.
Candyland: Candyland is for the fun and kid at heart bride and groom who loves candy and bright colors, sure to be a hit and so much fun for the guests to fill up little custom bags of candy to take home.
Rustic Glam & Botanic Bride: The Rustic Glam couple I imagine in a snowy lodge with a roaring fire while still being very upscale and lots of candles and glitz mixed with raw winter details.I imagine the Botanical Bride would have lots of diy elements, wild flowers paired with simplicity and earth tones.
His & Her’s Tiffany Blue and Chocolate: I love doing his and hers tables and this one paired perfectly with the cigar box and very masculine rich chocolate desserts and then the tea set with cupcakes for her.
Summer Love: For Summer Love, the colors I envisioned were fresh yellow paired with a tangerine orange with lots of flowers and I love cake pops!
When Nora of Bridal Bliss asked me if I would be interested in coming up with some ideas for her tv segment on “alternatives to wedding cakes” for a local show I was thrilled! Since this is exactly what I do (although I often incorporate cakes into the dessert table) I instantly came up with six different unique and whimsical looks to share with viewers. I wanted to concentrate on the bride and base my inspiration off of that. I hope you enjoy these snapshot inspiration dessert tables. Dessert tables that I custom design for clients are much more detailed with limitless backdrops, candies and desserts that share the story of the couple, coordinating blooms and dessert tags to match the overall feel of the wedding and often sentimental touches. Dessert tables are a way that a couple can truly have a fun, unique sweet signature for their big day and a very big “wow” affect that the guests are sure to remember!
