From the Bride... Andrew and I met in marketing class our junior year in college. He was the class jokester, and I found his act quite funny. He says my laugh caught his attention, and I have to say that his sense of humor caught mine. From that point on we began a friendship and then a relationship that I had only dreamed of. Seven years later, Andrew proposed to me at the same place we met. He was graduating with his masters at our alma mater, and right there in full cap and gown in front of our family and friends, he asked me to be his wife. I tearfully said “Yes!”

After this day, I was in shock for two months at the fact that I was now engaged. I wasn’t like most girls I know who have there whole wedding planned out by the age of seven. I never gave it much thought. So where was I to begin? The thought of all the options out there overwhelmed me, so I started to think about what it is that Andrew and I love most in our home décor and style. It came to mind that I had to visit my favorite fabric store in San Francisco. I walked in and saw all of the amazing textures, colors, and prints, and there I stumbled across burlap, lace, and sparkly rhinestones. The pieces were all coming together for me and excitement kicked in.

We knew our ceremony would be held at the lovely St. Mary’s College Chapel, since this was where our love story began, and the reception would be in a romantic Spanish-style estate called Hacienda de Las Flores. The beauty of both locations spoke for themselves so I had to make sure I added just the right touches with out taking away from the natural charm. I added milk glass, which fondly reminded me of my grandmother, and flowers in full bloom designed by Florali. Candles and twinkle lights provided a glow in the evening, and the photo booth and candy bar brought out the inner child in our guests. The cake with the silk-like buttercream was just what Andrew and I had envisioned and could have only been executed by Carolyn Wong. The soothing notes coming from the string trio was the perfect touch. Lori and Shawnee with their artistic eye were the supreme duo to capture the essence of our day through photography. All of these details, along with being surrounded by our family and friends, made for one magical day, but most importantly, having my handsome groom by my side made this fairy tale dream a reality. I am still on cloud nine and hope to never come down…
