From the Bride... Kevin and I wanted an intimate environment with close family and friends where everyone felt welcome. We decided to have our wedding in a beautiful barn, glowing with twinkle lights and lanterns. The minute I saw the hanging rustic crystal chandelier, I knew I had found the venue. We wanted our wedding day to look classy but whimsical and fun. Our inspiration on our day was an old classic '60s look with a hint of a French feel. Being the bride and a constant Style Me Pretty follower, I was worried that I had too many ideas fluttering around in my brain, but thanks to my amazing vendors, it all came together better than I could have ever imagined. Our photographer was simply brilliant and couldn't have been more thrilled that he captured our look so timelessly.
As it was December, we gave all the guests "Keep Warm" blankets to cuddle up with during the ceremony. I was so thrilled to have made these because it was such a chilly afternoon. I wished I could have wrapped myself up during our vows. I worked completely around our table numbers that had sweet little silhouettes done by Miss Pickles Press. My family is from all over the world so I wanted to incorporate that and make them feel at home. Each table number said “I love you” and “I adore you” in different languages. Cinderella Cakes did our simple black and white cake with a stunning sugar flower. Our favors were individually wrapped pistachio and chocolate french macarons with little "Merci" tags. Our flowers were an incredible mix of ranunculus, white hydrangeas, green roses, and bells of Ireland with curly willow that was submerged into tall vases. I couldn't have pulled our style all together without my brother-in-law, who officiated the ceremony and was also the man behind the DIY photo booth. It was complete with our vintage framed silhouette photos. Our guests were able to get their Polaroid pictures taken with all the fun mustached props for the guest book. As we said our good byes to our guests, they waved and jingled ribbon bell wands as we were whisked away as husband and wife. We had the time of our lives celebrating the love we've sharing for the last six years with the people we cherished most.
