From Lisa Poggi... Francesca and Michael got married in the beautiful island of Torcello, one of the smallest islands belonging to the Venetian Peninsula. Michael’s father is Italian and this was one of the main reasons they decided to get married in Italy; lovers for many years, friends of life, Francesca and Michael live in London but had set their eyes on a pretty restaurant in Torcello for their special day.
For their wedding they opted for fresh, elegant flowers which were decorating the Municipal room where their wedding took place. Then with all the guests, by a typical Venetian transportation, the boat, they all reached the small secluded island.
The colors used were purple, pink, green all in different types and shades; the bridesmaids gifts were lovely flower bracelets so sweet! Venetian details were present all over the restaurant, on the table and on the table name cards, a silhouette of the Venetian gondola was used as table number. The table signs were placed in different baroque frames and a small logo of a Venetian gondola framed all those pretty names together. A swing band was hired for the party, and while the guests kept dancing, Michael and Francesca left by a private hired boat to the magic island of Venice, spending their night in the most romantic city in the world.
