I’m a girl that loves details. Clearly. But what I love more than details is the story behind the wedding. Sometimes told by the bride and groom, sometimes by the photos themselves. It’s the moments in between the details that leave the longest lasting impression on this wedding blogger’s heart and this next stunner has not only an insanely (and I mean INSANELY) gorgeous Bride but also one of the sweetest photographic moments I think I’ve ever seen. See if you can spot it. Here’s a hint…there’s a sweet little boy and a very adorable groom involved. And, captured by Nicole Paulson, it’s quite possibly one of the most lovable wedding snapshots I’ve ever seen. Make sure to enjoy the rest of the fête planned by Shannon Leahy right here as well as the film of the day by Bay Area VDO Productions.

From Shannon of Shannon Leahy Events… JiHyung and Richard had a picture perfect wedding day at a private residence in Napa. JiHyung and Richard were some of the sweetest clients I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They were so gracious to absolutely every vendor they worked with from start to finish. At the end of the night, they made an effort to personally thank and shake hands with every vendor before they left. Totally unnecessary but very appreciated and absolutely in line with their character.
JiHyung was such a great bride to work with — she had some very specific ideas about what she liked, she was open-minded to my ideas, and she was even willing to craft a few items for the big day! We started with an outdoor ceremony overlooking the vineyards. A canopy covered in olive leaves provided shade for the bride and groom, and bright pillows and parasols gave comfort to their guests while adding some great pops of color to the ceremony decor. Pink petals in little packets were available for guests to toss at the bride and groom on the way back down the aisle. We wanted to bring JiHyung’s love of flowers and gardens into the wedding, so the flowers for the wedding, done by the super talented Max Gill, incorporated the bounty that August in California has to offer with a warm color palette of pink, fuchsia and tangerine. Escort cards took guests to their tables named after garden flowers and plants and each guest took home a beautiful seed packet to plant in their own gardens.
The private barn had a little bit of western flair, so we used hay bales for seating arrangements, and JiHyung changed into her cowboy boots as the night went on. JiHyung also made little props and masks for the guests to pose for photos with in the photo booth. One of the funniest moments from the wedding was JiHyung’s sister’s maid of honor speech. She said, “You know, the only other person who was more excited for my sister’s wedding than me was my mom. I don’t know how many of you know Korean mothers, but they have been trained for this day since their daughter’s birth. I remember listening to my mother saying, ‘I just want your sister to find a gooood man. Then I can die in peace.'” She found him, all right! Congratulations to JiHyung and Richard and many happy years of marriage!
