From Alexandra of Alexandra Kolendrianos... Montecito was the perfect backdrop for this Southern California couple! Dina and Dewey were dream clients, and both wanted their special day to be close to the ocean. The ceremony took place at the beautiful Montecito Covenant Church where guests witnessed their vows. A traditional ceremony was the start to this amazing day for the couple and their family and friends. While the guest count was on the larger side, the ceremony was incredibly intimate: just the two of them standing at the altar with Reverend Don Johnson at the helm. Once they said their “I Do’s,” guests congratulated them and made their way to the celebration that followed.
The bride and groom left the church in a classic 1957 Bentley and made their way to the cocktail reception and dinner at La Pacifica Terrace and Ballroom at the Four Seasons Biltmore. Right on the water, it is a stunning venue and a perfect backdrop for any ocean lover. Guests enjoyed the beautiful view of the ocean while enjoying cocktails, a raw bar and butler-passed hors d’oeuvres while flamenco guitar music played, creating a warm and festive mood. Ocean blue linens and rattan and ivory lounge furniture filled the La Pacifica terrace. Silver cups holding floral arrangements using blue-green succulents, orchids and soft garden roses added a pop of color and softness. At night, the candles surrounding the floral on the terrace created a warm ambient glow. The ballroom drapes opened as Spotlight Music, a nine-piece band, played during guests' entrance into the ballroom. The bride is from a large Italian family, so let's say there was no shortage of dancing, dining and a good time at the reception!
The decor was elegant and chic. We used luxurious silk ivory linens as the base for the ballroom, along with ivory chameleon chairs. The draping was a mix of rich ivory silk taffeta and a creamy ivory chiffon. A splash of ocean blue for the table runners and ribbons on the napkins added in a touch of contrast. The florals were a warm and romantic color palette of apricot, peach, butter, ivory, taupe and dusty pinks with touches of bronze and caramel. The soft palette complimented the tones in the ballroom while hinting at the fall season. Silver containers for the florals and candles added elegance to the reception. Guests lounged on furniture surrounding the dance floor and took plenty of pictures in the photo booth (which was the couple's guest book) all night during the reception. Chandeliers rigged between each lounge area added an extra dimension to the lighting. The entire day and evening was captured beautifully by Megan Sorel Photography. As you will see from these images, her photos show the sweetness and elegance of the day. Congratulations to Dina & Dewey!
