From Sonya of Mendocino Weddings & Events... Curious llamas, wandering ducks and a historic farmhouse were the perfect elements needed to host Emily and Sean’s blessed union on the Mendocino Coast of Northern California. They had a vision with many rich details to tell their story. Emily and Sean were presented with a beautiful day for their ceremony and reception at Glendeven Inn, tucked in beautiful Mendocino California. What a sweet couple they are. Both very smart, quiet and thoughtful. I LOVE how they look at each other and give a soft, sweet smile to agree on something. Totally in love for sure!
A ripped fabric backdrop swayed in the wind as they said "I do." Weddings by Sasha was on hand to capture each moment. The cocktail hour was held in the barn side courtyard where Mendo Bistro served up delicious and savory snacks to keep the guests fueled for the evening to come. Guests were invited into the round tent for a stroll through the many vegetarian food stations that offered treats such as a mashed potato bar, veggie pot pies, an array of salads and yummy butternut squash tamales that were continually replenished by Nicholas of Mendo Bistro. Mendocino Floral Design created unique arrangements for the different farm-style tables, using a mix of rustic vessels and autumn flowers joined with succulents and other textural elements. Each serving station was embellished with charming farm-inspired décor, ranging from a toy wagon overflowing with root vegetables to weathered wooden apple boxes with sunflowers springing from within. The eclectic mix of chairs looked as though you reached into every grandmother's attic and plucked just one to get this inspired collection. DJ Aykut kept the dance floor flowing as the guests filled their bellies at the dessert table that was carefully created with an assortment of flavored cupcakes handmade by Squared Art Productions. Guests filled their little bags with old-fashioned sweet treats to take home. The fire pit offering build your own s’mores was a special ending to this sweet night.
