From the Bride… Last fall, Floataway Studios held a stop-motion animation contest. Two days prior to the deadline Luke and I set out to make our own. We didn’t win the grand prize, but Floataway was kind enough to gift us with a photo or video engagement session (in the end, we ended up with both). Luke and I had such a fun time coming up with outfits, locations, and scene shots for Floataway Studios, and they took our ideas and ran with them. We had an amazing time collaborating with this talented duo.

We wanted the engagement video to serve as a conceptualized version of how we fell in love with one another. First, by introducing ourselves; then we each picked hobbies of the other’s that we like. For example, Luke loves that I attempt to play drums and I love his energy and passion on the basketball court. Some of the getting to know you things you might discuss early on in the relationship. From here, we fall further in love with one another until it seems life has slowed around us — we’re the only two people in the universe! Lastly, how through all this discovery of one another and ourselves as individuals we learned that loving the other led us to finding the true sense of the word “home.”
