I just adore how this gorgeous bride calls her planning process her wedding adventure. With her venue closing just weeks before their big day and a list of other mishaps leading up to the moment she walked down the aisle – adventure seems like the perfect word. Yet after oohing and awwing over every image Tonhya Kae Photography sent over, I couldn’t imagine anything went less than perfect – because this wedding is an absolute dream. See it all here!

From the Bride… I always wanted to get married on a perfect summer day in the middle of nature. Our wedding day was one of those perfect summer days, and we felt every human emotion possible! Our family and friends orchestrated every detail, making our day very personal and very “us.” Everyone pulled together after our original venue shut down to find us a new place, and Salish ended up being perfect! The ceremony venue, Snoqualmie Point Park, boasted amazing views and provided a perfect backdrop for our simple vows. Our creative friends came up with the reception decor, family arranged our centerpieces, our friend made us a poster as a sign-in book, and the father of the groom was our MC. It felt like every detail was hand-chosen for us.
I am horrible at choosing ONE favorite moment, but if I had to choose a favorite memory it would be when the wedding was actually over and Jeff and I re-lived the day’s events over champagne! It was so nice to be alone and we laughed, I cried, and reveled in that wonderful happy/relaxed/exhausted feeling.
One piece of advice for other brides planning their wedding right now: If you feel overwhelmed with others opinions, understand that they love you and want to help! I discovered the difference between advice and people giving their opinions. Also, when things don’t go according to plan, keep in mind that in marriage things are also not perfect. How you deal with wedding mishaps will prepare you for life together! During our wedding adventure, we had our wedding venue close down weeks before our wedding, my car break down on the way to the ceremony, and our rings were left behind minutes before I was supposed to walk down the aisle! We have learned to laugh and not focus on things that we cannot control, making us a stronger couple.
