After a day like today, I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say we heart We Heart Photography. In a major way. So before we bid this day adieu, a day devoted to all the gorgeous images that just seem to stream from their camera, we have one more fancy fête to share with you. A rainy day masterpiece crafted by the lovely Alison of L’Auberge Del Mar that is overflowing with the most gorgeous blooms, and complete with a Bride and Groom not phased in the slightest that there were a few sprinkles on they day they said I do – they were just thrilled to be able to do so. From Alison of L’Auberge Del Mar… They say rain on a wedding day is good luck. On November 12th, Blair and Brandon proved this to be true. These two began planning the perfect outdoor wedding at L’Auberge Del Mar a year in advance, replete with stunning sleeveless dresses and strings of sparkling lights for their modern-vintage rooftop reception. And then we checked the weather report. While many people might have cried a few tears over the 90% chance of thunder storms, Blair and Brandon didn’t let it faze them a bit. With a few days notice, we ordered a tent, moved their ceremony into a cozy ballroom (perfectly adorned with flowers by Twigg Botanicals and stunning rentals by Classic Party Rentals) and stocked up on umbrellas. When their 125 guests arrived that day, one of the most sweet and memorable weddings I have ever seen unfolded. You haven’t experienced romance until you dine under the stars in a rainstorm (with the help of a clear tent, of course). Long feast tables were perfectly appointed with vintage glass vases, vivid wild flowers and cork place cards handmade by Blair’s mother. After being treated to a custom four-course dinner, guests were invited to the ballroom, where they danced the night away to the sounds of local band The Heroes. And somehow throughout the whole thing, the incredibly-stunning Blair and Brandon managed to look like models in the chilly weather. In the end, the entire celebration, serenaded by the sound of raindrops, ended up being far more magical than any of us could have planned for.
