Kristi Wright Photography never fails to seriously brighten my day with the pretty, pretty weddings she sends our way – and today’s gorgeous rustic affair is certainly no exception. It’s a grin-inducing, sweet as can be bundle of wedding magic, including succulent-filled centerpieces by Last Petal, vibrant blue and green hues, a stunning lace gown and, of course, an entire gallery overflowing with breathtaking images captured by Kristi. This, my friends, is what I call out-of-this world amazing – and if it doesn’t seriously MAKE YOUR DAY, then I don’t know what will. Click here for more.

From Kristi Wright Photography… This wedding will go down in history as one of my very favorites. I love this couple. You can only imagine the constant smile I had on my face the whole day watching these two, so in love, having such a wonderful time at their wedding. The wedding took place at The Wild Onion Ranch — it’s a beautiful mix of Texas rustic and the elegance of a hacienda in Mexico. Jenny wore a gorgeous dress by Claire Pettibone — it went perfectly with her easy-going personality. The food was catered by 2Dine4 — seriously the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding. My favorite part of the day was Jenny and Brett’s first dance. It took me off guard at first. They came out to the Titanic theme song — yeah, the one by Celine Dion. I remember thinking, “Hmm, that’s an odd choice,” not to mention they were really stiff while dancing — like two kids at their first school dance and then BAM! The music changed, and they went into this AMAZING dance number. They had taken lessons and surprised everyone. It was killer.
From the Bride… When Brett and I started planning our wedding, our main goal, as for most couples, was to throw an unforgettable party. Both of us come from huge families, so having an intimate affair really wasn’t in the cards for us. From the beginning, we decided to embrace a “the more the merrier” attitude. We had about a year and a half to plan our wedding so we opted not to hire a wedding planner. Planning was not always stress-free, but it was nice to be able to create something that was uniquely ours and reflected our personalities perfectly. Some of my favorite moments were walking down the aisle to a Divisi Strings performance of “All of My Love” by Led Zeppelin, the framed wedding pictures we displayed of all of our family members, and the New Orleans-style processional leading us out of the party at the end of the night. We spent a lot of time researching our vendors, trying our best to create a unique experience for our family and friends. After choosing the Wild Onion Ranch as our venue, we knew this task would be easily accomplished. We loved the rustic, ranch style feeling of this venue, without having to drive 45 minutes outside of the city. Amanda, our day-of coordinator, was able to pull together all the finishing touches, making our wedding day run as smoothly as possible. She was a huge help throughout the entire wedding process, another one of the many perks at TWOR. From the food, to the cake, to the string quartet, everything turned out better than we ever could have imagined.
The amazing Matchmaker Band is what really made a difference at our wedding. From the first song, to their last, their energy remained the same, keeping the dance floor packed the entire night. We still have people raving about them, and know they had a huge impact on our wedding. We also have to give a shout out to our lovely and talented photographer, Kristi Wright. She managed to capture the energy and spirit of the day perfectly, and I know that isn’t an easy feat. When we looked at our pictures for the first time, we were instantly able to relive our wedding day all over again. She was an amazing photographer to work with and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the process. We are so happy to have found Kristi and will cherish her pictures forever. At the end of the day, we know none of this would have been possible without our wonderful friends and family. They are what made this day fun, unique, special, and all the things we had originally set out to achieve. We have never felt so loved and feel so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives.
