Bryant Park Grill Wedding by Patricia Kantzos Photography

Hands down, one of the greatest wedding details I’ve come across is the cake centerpiece. at each and every table. GENIUS! It’s paired down elegance, totally scrumptious and makes for really happy guests. What is not to love with that scenario? Two Little Red Hens Bakery crafted a whole line-up of sweet treats for this New York wedding and it is all out perfection as seen through the lens of Patricia Kantzos Photography. See it all in the full gallery!

We aren’t done until the wedding film sings and this little ditty by Morelli Media is singing the loveliest of tunes. Plop down, kick your heals up and get cozy with this ode to love…

From the bride… Even though Seth and I had been together for many years before getting engaged and I had known I wanted to marry him from our very first date, I had not given much thought to my “dream” wedding. I’m from California, and Seth is from Georgia, but we decided that we’d like to be get married in New York City since that is where our life together began. Once we found our venue, Bryant Park Grill, the wedding began to take shape, and I started to create a very sophisticated but fun wedding in the heart of NYC. We’d been to many great weddings together, and Seth and I talked about the things we remembered most about them. Seth wanted different flavored cakes on every table and a live band. I wanted lush flowers and a pizza truck waiting outside at the end of the night for the quintessential New York midnight snack. We both wanted an open bar and a Saturday evening fete. I loved the idea of mixing elements of Bryant Park and the city into our wedding. Our ceremony took place on the rooftop of the Grill, shadowed by the New York City Public Library, skyscrapers, and The Empire State Building peeking up from a few blocks away. The sun set just as our cocktail hour began and the lit cityscape became a beautiful backdrop to the beginning of the night. Our reception was in the Grill, where a wall of windows looked out onto Bryant Park and the carousel. Our fabulous florist, Vanessa from Verde Flowers, created wild bouquets for the bridal party and the tables using some of the same vines that are found in the park. The band, Around Town Entertainment, got the party started right away and some of my greatest memories are of seeing our friends and family dancing and sweating together.

Our wedding party and families stayed at the Bryant Park Hotel, which is right across from The Grill and extremely convenient. We could hop from room to room for visits, and I could watch out my window as the rooftop of The Grill was transformed into our ceremony space. The staffs at the hotel and The Grill were very accommodating and professional. Even though I didn’t hire an event planner specifically for our wedding, Tom, the event manager at the Grill, kept the evening flowing and checked in with us throughout the night. Thanks to him, I was able to enjoy the evening and not worry about the details.

It was the perfect wedding for us. We still talk about all of our memories from the weekend. Being surrounded by everyone we love in the heart of the city where we met made an already incredible day all the more memorable.
