Oh my goodness, do I LOVE this wedding. It's a dreamy mix of sweet sophistication and soft, enchanting details... all surrounded by a gorgeous woodland backdrop and the prettiest of purple hues. From the Bride... When planning our wedding, we really wanted to make sure that everything felt like us. Not so traditional but more personal. On a drive out to Woodend, we hadn’t planned on seeing this venue, but we followed the signs and stumbled on Cammeray Waters. The minute we took a step out of the car, we had made our decision! The scenery was spectacular and exactly what we wanted. We were lucky that Woodend has a beautiful Catholic church just off the main street, so we booked this without even seeing inside. It turned out to be perfect! The venue’s relaxed atmosphere set the tone for everything else. Floral arrangements and decorations were unstructured and soft. We used soft colours in all elements: the flowers, decorations and stationery. We opted for something a little different for the cake and had a cheese wheel tower! A cheese platter was then served on each table after desert and our bonbonnieres were cheese knives with our initials stamped on them.
My gown and bridesmaids dresses were light and flowing, we wanted to make sure that all the girls were comfortable and ready to dance the night away with our 1950s-style band! The number of people on the dance floor was incredible, and it stayed that way the entire night! Cammeray Waters was such an amazing place to hold our wedding. Management are so lovely and accommodating. We were very lucky! The venue also had enough rooms for all our guests to stay the night on the property and we were able to have an after party in the recreation room for as long as we liked! We loved every minute of our wedding day, it was such a beautiful celebration with all our family and friends. It was perfect.
