Modern inspiration seems a wee bit few and far between in the wedding world. So, when this pretty, gilded shoot landed in our laps we did a little happy dance and IMMEDIATELY slapped this gem on the schedule. It’s a fresh take on the boho wedding with loads of gold details and white glam decor; all whipped up by Beau & Arrow Events. We’re DYING, literally down on bended knee asking one of you to have a wedding inspired by this love fest. Gold, feathers, sequins, we can see it now. Head to the gallery for so much more captured by Justin Lee Photography.

From Kate + Ellen of Beau & Arrow Events… We love showing couples that they can take a fun and quirky idea and also make it modern and elegant. We dreamed up the Peace, Love, and Cake shoot to showcase a fresh take on a ’60s inspired wedding reception. We were so fortunate to have Justin Lee on board to capture all of the images. His artistic eye paired perfectly with our overall vision . The industrial feel of the Luce Loft provided a great backdrop and contrast to the all white, glossy furniture that was used. For the tabletop, graphic plates are layered over all gold linens and napkins to keep with the playful but polished theme. Matching gold flatware, bold vintage inspired wine goblets, and champagne coupes adorned with daisies, complete the setting. A white sequin runner was added to pop against the gold linens and showcase the gold planter, which was a simple and inexpensive DIY project.
The feathers added into the beautiful florals, designed by Floral Palette, brought in a touch of bohemian flair. To infuse the theme into all of the various elements, sequins and feathers (as well as cute heart and peace sign charms) were tied around each napkin and in the bouquet and boutonniere wraps. The juxtaposition of casual and elegant was continued into the bride and bridemaid’s looks, which the ladies at Lovestruck nailed perfectly. The tousled bun and the side braid with smokey eyes has a sultry bombshell appeal while still being free-spirited. The Lo Boheme hairpieces lent themselves beautifully to the flirtatious hairstyles. We loved the nod to the ’60s that the daisies provided and used them throughout the girls’ attire. It was very fitting to have the bride don whimsical upscale separates rather than a traditional gown.
Encompassing all of the elements of gold, daisies, and feathers, Hey There, Cupcake! created the most darling cake. To add a bit of whimsy, flowers were created out of gold paper and light bulbs to serve as the backdrop for the cake table. The simplicity of the gold confetti motif found on the invites, drink sign, cocktail stirrers, and favor tags was the perfect embellishment to the paper elements. The signature cocktail, cleverly titled “Daised and Confused” was simply made up of lemon sorbet, gin, and champagne. Fun and glitzy peace sign cookies with tags that read “Take a peace of our love with you,” were gifted as favors. The LOVE marquee sign from Moss Vintage Rentals stole the show was on point with the glamorous and playful peace and love vibe and made for great shots of the bridal party as well.
