Shortly after meeting Rosalia Pecoraro, Joseph Lucchese, an event and tour producer, was off on a world tour through Europe. He and Rose met in Rose's family hometown of Alta Villa Milicia, Sicily. While in Rome, Joe and Rose came upon a bridge, Ponte Milvio. On this bridge they had a picnic and after, following the tradition of the bridge, left a lock on the bridge with words inscribed that they wrote to each other. Each kept a key to remember their love that was now locked into Roman history. Seven months later, a romantic proposal. Each wanted to return to Sicily to marry but knew it would be too much to ask of family. In search of beautiful destination that would provide beautiful ocean and mountain views, Rose and Joe turned to California. Joe and Rose came upon the Four Seasons in Santa Barbara, California. Upon arrival, Joe and Rose knew their wedding had to be there. The romantic architecture set along the Pacific and Santa Ynez mountains felt just right. Even more important than the location, Joe and Rose wanted to create a ceremony that would portray the deep love they have for each other and the love that they have for their family and friends. The ceremony incorporated Catholic traditions, along with unique spiritual parts that Joe and Rose created themselves. Rose and Joe wed on 6/26/10 in the garden of the Four Seasons Biltmore.
