From Danicia of Danicia Dutry Ceremonies... As the sun fell on 2011, Chris and Danni took their vows in front of an astonished gathering of guests. Chris and Danni created a surprise wedding surrounded by their family and friends in a moment that will live with them for a lifetime. They bring with them an infectious spirit and sense of joy to all occasions. Their relationship is very much in keeping with the theme of their New Year's wedding filled with surprise, humour, friendship and celebrations.

The bride started out the evening in a gorgeous black party dress mingling with guests, thus putting a few suspicious guests off the scent immediately. The start of engagement speeches gathered people around, but the speeches were quickly cut short by the entrance of flower girls running through the crowd with balloons and ribbon, creating an impromptu aisle. The bride entered on the arm of her little brother to Ingrid Michaelson’s "The Way I Am." Her dad and step-dad formed a guard of honour at the top of the aisle and wished her all the best as she stepped forward to take Chris' hands. The ceremony featured a hand-fasting with symbolic coloured ribbons (red reflecting Chris' Chinese heritage — a symbol of celebration, love and joy, while the orange ribbon represented enthusiasm, happiness, creativity and success) tied by the bride and groom’s mothers, natural wildflower bouquets (that suited the bushland environment surrounding the home) and seven short blessings by the bride’s best friends that were handed over on reading cards as the ceremony started.

From the bride... We couldn't have asked for a better ceremony and wedding. Everything went even better than we had ever hoped or dreamed. We were still on the dance floor after 4 a.m. and everyone had such a great time!
