What a day it has been! So.much.wedding.lovely I can barely contain myself! Lucky for all of us, the pretty party isn’t over just yet! We still have one more fabulous fête to swoon over and this is one for the books. A Carnival-themed wedding, no less, and with Trisha Dean Events at the helm, you know it’s going to be good. It’s classic meets carnival complete with a gorgeous gown worn by the loveliest Bride, an adorable pup, a real live ferris wheel and too many details to list – making the full gallery as festive as they come!
From the bride… Our save-the-date called for guests to join us for a “one night only, truly exuberant, magical, jubilant, unforgettable jaw dropping time,” with that, how could they not RSVP yes?! We truly wanted our guests to experience fun throughout the whole evening. We wanted options that catered to our guests’ every whim and desire, whether it was eating amazing food, dancing, playing games or relaxing. This wedding was about Paul and me sharing our love of fun with our guests and allowing them to be a kid again for one amazing night. Our intimate ceremony was shaded by ancient redwoods and a butterfly blessing created a magical “I do” moment. It truly was a reflection of the softer side in each of us – peaceful, quiet and romantic.
After the ceremony, Paul and I walked among the redwoods for a moment to reflect on our ceremony and prepare ourselves for an incredibly night of fun and games with all of our favorite people. At the reception, once guests arrived, they were greeted with peach and berry snow cone cocktails and mini bags of popcorn and were whisked up and away on the Ferris wheel, only coming back to earth to be greeted by a tattoo artist ready to help them profess their sweetie’s name on their bicep for all to see. Over in what used to be a horse ring, guests sidled up to one of the many tents where games galore greeted them — knocking down milk jugs, trying their best shot at ping pong toss or testing their balance with Bottle Up. They feasted on warm soft pretzels and Prosecco berry popsicles while winning prizes of fake mustaches and candy bracelets.
For dinner, we had glorious fried food — miniature buckets of crisp buttermilk fried chicken, melt-in-your-mouth fried mac and cheese balls, sweet potato fries with a ginger sour cream dipping sauce, gourmet corn dogs with the most amazing horseradish and beer mustard — the most incredible fair food with a slight grown up twist brought out the kid in every guest. After dinner, guests danced under the stars, took another spin on the Ferris wheel or sat with their loved ones to be sketched in action by the caricature artist. Guests that weren’t busy cutting a rug sipped on miniature strawberry, chocolate and vanilla milkshakes, while those lounging poolside slowly sipped dark hot cocoa and did a little dunking with a warm churro. With full bellies, tired eyes and smiles still on everyone’s faces, our amazing evening came to an end. Prizes in hand and caricature drawings rolled and tucked under guests’ arms, it truly was an exuberant, magical, jubilant, unforgettable jaw dropping time.
