From Beck Diefenbach... Every good story deserves to be told, and it is my mission to retell your story in compelling images you can enjoy for the rest of your life. With a true documentary approach, I believe in a non-intrusive method of reportage. Candid, personal exchanges are the best way to tell your story. From setting up and preparing for the day to the last dance that night, I want to capture those moments.
I am a San Francisco, Calif., native and a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. From 2008 to 2010, I was a staff photographer at the Daily Chronicle in DeKalb, Ill., where I received 29 individual photo awards for my documentary and portrait work. Currently I am a freelance wedding and editorial photographer in San Francisco with regular editorial clients such as Thompson Reuters, The Associated Press and San Francisco Chronicle. Documenting weddings has been a major portion of my work for the last 4 years.
Most recently I was honored to receive an Award of Excellence in the 68th annual Pictures of the Year International photo contest for my editorial work.
I'd like to offer a $100 off an engagement photo session in San Francisco to SMP readers. Just mention SMP in an email to me and let's find a date.
Engagement sessions (normally $250) includes:

From My Amber Coloured World... After spending years working and going to university, I had become a bit of a dull robot, and I hadn't really done any thing with my creative side since high school. I had always been an entrepreneur and very artsy in the past but I had lost that focus. When I got engaged in February 2010, the world of wedding-planning really jump-started my artistic side. With a tight budget, I became that typical DIY bride. Through perusing my usual favourite blogs, I came across the fantastic must-have item formy morning-of wedding photos - a personalized hanger. I decided to make one for myself and my bridesmaids, the first ones turned out not-so-pretty but I worked at my lettering style until I perfected it. My fingertips used to be pretty tender, but now they have lovely calluses. My friends and family encouraged me to sell to friends who were getting married. It was first word of mouth, then Facebook and then I finally opened an Etsy shop in March 2011. In May, I got married to my fantastic husband at a vineyard in the Okanagan Valley in BC, Canada. It was beautiful! The hanger business is going strong and I love how it keeps me tied into the wedding world, even as a married woman now. I even pass along tips and ideas in my Etsy messaging. I miss the good ol' days of spending countless hours on StyleMePretty, no lie!
Each hanger is handmade by me and I would not mail out anything that I myself would not want to have in my wedding photos or give to my loved ones. My signature look with lower-case lettering is beautiful and cute! I take great care in making my letters very specific from each other so that there is no question as to what the wording says (ex. I make a's and o's look very different). I have received countless messages from customers saying that I have one of the best lettering styles available (see great quotes from my Feedback page.
Currently my orders take about 4-5 weeks to be created and to arrive at the address but this can change in the future. For up to date information on how to order and to view many Frequently Asked Questions, be sure to read over my Policy Page here.
I always have discounts available for orders with multiple hangers - just ask!
I would love to do a give-away for this Welcome Post. The give-away includes one free personalized name bridal hanger, with my Aster (My handmade Aster flower, a satin ribbon 12-petaled flower with a Swarovski crystal) attached. The offer includes shipping to any destination in U.S. and Canada. I can ship anywhere in the world too but full coverage for shipping is not included in the giveaway.
To enter for a chance to win a customized hanger, please comment below on your ideal honeymoon location. Winner will be selected at random by February 3, 2012.

We know that you will love our newest advertisers as much as we do and, remember, make sure to stop by their sites and show them some SMP support!
