There isn’t one single detail from this wedding that I don’t want to scoop up and take away with me! I’m completely obsessed with the soft and gorgeous color palette of peach, gold, silver blue and aqua. Both the bride and groom, along with their families, handmade all the pretty details you’re feasting your eyes on right about now including the bow ties, invites, favor grit bags, and they even brewed their own beer. Veil and Bow was on hand to capture everything and trust me, you’re gonna wanna hit up the full gallery because there is SO much more to see!

From the bride… We had tremendous help from friends and family. A friend of the family was our florist & she did a fantastic job. From the seagrass in the boutonniere to the peach centerpiece she really took our vision of a southern outdoor island wedding and ran with it. My Mom sewed the guy’s bowties. They were a little crooked at times but that suits the groom’s easy-going humor. My Dad made the cake stands. I’m a graphic designer and designed the invites, programs, signage and favors. We sewed fabric sacks for the grit favors & I printed the front of each. The groom & his best man brewed beer for favors and the guests loved taking a bottle home.
I had my grandmother’s 1940’s dress altered to wear towards the end of the party. It was literally balled up and shoved in a costume drawer for decades. An amazing seamstress removed the wrist-length sleeves and hemmed it to calf length so I could breath in the humid southern weather. She ironed it umpteen times and patched several holes. It was an honor to wear it and I’m amazed it turned out so well!
