Cape Cod Wedding by Meg Brock Photography

We’re welcoming in 2012 with this beautifully intimate fall wedding by Meg Brock Photography. This crafty and laid back couple decided to nix their plans of a backyard wedding in the Philadelphia area and instead invited 16 of their closest friends and family members to join them on Cape Cod. We are loving the DIY elements and how the bride and groom turned their wedding day into an entire weekend of festivities. Click here for the full story.

From Meg Brock of Rich Meg Media: Most couples have a wedding and reception.  Jessica and Joe truly had a wedding day.  When first planning their wedding, Jessica and Joe considered  having a backyard affair near their families in the Philadelphia area. However, wanting a more intimate setting, they decided to get married in Cape Cod.  Sixteen of their closest friends and family joined them at the Whale Walk Inn for a beautiful weekend of celebrating Jessica and Joe’s love for on another.

Everyone arrived at the Whalewalk Inn at Cape Cod by Friday evening.  The morning of the wedding was super laid back and casual.  I arrived at the B & B on Saturday morning to find the groom wearing a baseball cap, enjoying a quiet breakfast with the wedding guests.   That set the tone for their beautiful day. The ceremony took place at midday on the B & B grounds.  Afterwards, everyone, including the bride and groom, headed to the kitchen and arranged an amazing hors d’oeuvre spread which was enjoyed over a few hours on the back patio.  At the end of the night, everyone headed to a beautiful restaurant  the end of the cape for a simple, delicious dinner.

Jessica put so much love into the day.  She handmade gorgeous invitations for everyone which included driving music and a booklet which outlined the weekends events.  She also made a terrarium for each guest to take home along with a card which explained a personal meaning.  She also added adorable lock and key charms to her bouquet and Joe’s boutonnière.

The weather was warm and perfect.  Everyone, including the bride, had expected it to be much colder.  A week after their wedding, it snowed in New England, reinforcing what a perfect day Jessica and Joe had. Jessica and Joe are such a sweet couple and it was such a pleasure to be apart of their day.
